Failed Fantasy repeat bid

I just missed out on defending my IBM NBA fantasy league title this year. For the second straight season, I entered the playoffs having the 4th seed and scored an upset on the topseeded team during the semis. I fell miserably in the finals though.

Coincidentally, both number one seeds from this year (Gh0stface) and last year (Lenobo) were managed by JP Sarmiento. I have bragging rights yet again for taking him down on consecutive seasons.

With a lot of us having left IBM already, I hope someone can still organize this when the 2009-10 NBA season starts later this year.

IBS Fantasy winner

Let it be known.

After almost 6 months of Yahoo fantasy basketball action, I've emerged as the IBS league champion. Pretty cool for someone who was toiling in the middle of the pack for the first 5 months.
I went into the playoffs as the 4th seed, beating topseeded Lenobo (Lenovo's JP Sarmiento) and 2nd seed Battlegrounds (Discover's JR Bulaon) in the semis and finals respectively.

For those who know me, you'd already know how competitive I am. For those who don't, this is a testament that I take games seriously. I just don't like losing.

Surprising fantasy

Well, what do you know.... I just took over the top spot in the IBS Yahoo fantasy league. Judging from the bad start I had, this is a pleasant surprise.

There's still a long way to go, but I hope I can keep up.

Five down

So TMac goes down again and brings my fantasy team along. I've lost 5 straight now and my record dips below .500 (4-5).

As of this writing, I'm leading in week 10 so hopefully I catch a break and get a much-needed dubya.

Fantasy going .500

After going unbeaten (4-0) during the first four weeks of NBA.com fantasy play, I've lost the last four.

Holy shit.

I'm now holding a mediocre 4-4 record which is good for 5th in my division (8th overall). Injuries to Lebron, MemO and TMac have cost me a ton of fantasy points but I ain't making any excuses though. I just have to raise my game, and I have to do it soon.
