Popularity contests

Filipinos seem to have a knack for winning anything and everything that's being decided via free online voting.

I remember there was a time Pinays would dominate the Miss Photogenic awards of major beauty contests primarily because the votes were cast on the web and one can actually vote unlimited number of times. That said, we have people who'd spend literally all day just casting votes.

With the Chinese government censuring almost everything on the internet, we got this online voting thing locked down for years to come.

Now if only the Nobel Prizes and Olympic Golds can be awarded this way...
