The Rolex store in Greenbelt 5 was robbed in broad daylight last Sunday noon. Reports say the robbers took off with about 60 of the low-to-mid-end watches.
Some folks were wondering why Rolex was the target and not nearby IWC or Patek Philippe. Well, Rolexes are quite easy to dispose even without the proper documents. Plus, they're cheaper too so there are infinitely more potential buyers than the ultra-luxurious brands.
That said, expect the gray market to flood with a lot of Datejusts, Daytonas and Submariners within the next few weeks.
Who knows? Maybe I can score a Yachtmaster on the low.
