(1)Carolina wins the ACC Championship

North Carolina beat the Clemson Tigers for the third time this season, 86-81. The Tar Heels showed enough endgame poise to ward off a Clemson comeback, taking with them their second straight ACC Tournament Championship, their 17th overall.

Sophomore stud Wayne Ellington scored 24 points on 10 of 13 shooting, while All-American junior Tyler Hansbrough finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Hansbrough was named the tournament's MVP.

Ellington is averaging 29.3 PPG in the three games against Clemson this season.

This win should all but seal Carolina's number one overall seed coming into next week's NCAA Tournament.
